Originally i went here as a guest of a larger company / client so was resrticted on my menu / drink choices out of politeness - however the food was stunning - both in its flavours & presentation, i eat with my eyes aswell - fresh lemon sole with a great caper flavoured butter and wilted greens with a lovely selection of cheeses prsented on a slate with chalked names & freshly baked warm bread to follow - a delight.
I duly booked a table for my lady & her parents knowing the location and the food would be right on the mark. Great service and welcome from the moment we entered off the storm driven prom - everything from then on was as good an experience as you coud expect anywhere. Pan seared bass / chicken liver parfait with a gain home baked warm brioche / seafood platter with a brilliantly cooked lobster (from sussex as well i was told) - puddings - a vanilla rice pudding so unlike any rice pudding i've ever eaten in my life - superb! - would have liked to have tried the bitter chocolate dish but my lady would have broken my fingers had i even dared to try to steal a little.
Can't recommend this place more highly - great location, service & food - value for money (even if at first it seems a little pricey) is amazing - michellin class food at a fraction of the cost of many a residence.
